This presentation was developed for youth-serving adults and discusses the various forms of child abuse. The presenter will discuss the indicators, the appropriate response to a child's disclosure and how to report the situation.

After this training you will be able to:

• Define child abuse & neglect
• Identify 3 common signs of abuse & neglect
• Describe the mandated reporter's role and duties

This training has been approved for 1.5 hours of continuing education credits for mental health providers and educators. This course meets the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and TEA training requirements. Certificates will be given upon the completion of the course.
