Observe | Reflect | Go
To mix it up, all I am going to do today is give you a brief list of observations on 1 Corinthians 15 and encourage you to make some observations of your own and then reflect on them.
1 Corinthians 15:
Paul calls people back to the gospel (v1)
Paul was preaching the gospel to people who were already saved
The gospel doesn’t just justify us, it is God’s primary tool in our sanctification (v2)
The proof that Christ’s death was a sufficient substitutionary sacrifice for sins, lies in Jesus’ resurrection from the dead (v17)
Risk taking for the sake of the gospel is done in vain if the resurrection did not occur (v30-34)
Living out the gospel demands a courageous lifestyle
Because the resurrection did occur evangelism for the kingdom of God will bring results that last forever (v58)
Observe.
Reflect.
Go!
